ABOUT ME

Pete

With over 15 years of professional practice, I bring a calm, experienced, and gentle approach to therapy. I work with a wide range of clients — from babies and children to adults at every stage of life — including members of the general public, professional sports people, and older adults. Every session is tailored to the individual and their needs at that point in life.

I believe effective therapy is about more than addressing symptoms. It’s about understanding the whole person and how their body functions as a connected system. Creating a safe, supportive, and professional environment where people feel confident in their care is central to my work.

“Peter is without question one of the best people you could meet. He understands how the body works as a whole, and doesn’t treat each part in isolation.” - Rebecca Kitching

Before becoming a therapist, I originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer at Loughborough University. This background gave me a strong understanding of structure, mechanics, and how complex systems work together. I still apply this way of thinking in my clinical work, taking a structured, methodical approach and assessing the body as a whole to identify patterns rather than focusing on isolated issues.

“I highly recommend Pete’s sessions: he is wholistic, gentle, caring and highly professional!” - Deborah Thomas

My training includes study to the highest standard in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy at the Oxford School of Sports Massage (OSSM). Alongside this, I have trained one-to-one in movement and function with world-renowned consultant and educator John Hardy. This joint-by-joint understanding of the body enables me to look beyond the site of pain and identify the underlying causes of dysfunction, which are often found elsewhere in the body.

“Peter is not only a brilliant therapist but an incredibly kind person. He genuinely cares.” - Kerry Chandler

Craniosacral therapy requires extremely subtle palpation skills and a deep ability to listen to the body’s natural rhythms. Developing this sensitivity takes many hundreds of hours of practice and experience with a wide variety of clients. I have also trained to the highest standard in paediatric craniosacral therapy, allowing me to work confidently and gently with babies and children. I regularly volunteer as a teaching assistant, ensuring I stay up to date with the latest ideas and approaches.

“I recommend Pete to everyone I meet. Pete perfectly combines scientific knowledge with a healing presence.” - Naomi Victoria Tanner

I have recently achieved the status of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy Diplomate — described as the Platinum standard beyond the Gold Standard of Techniques Certified CranioSacral Therapist. This involves extensive advanced training, collaborative work with senior therapists, in-depth essay submissions, and a rigorous examination with the most senior examiner in the country.

“Peter is a highly qualified and remarkable therapist. He takes the time to listen and ask the right questions to bring results.” - Anneli Thomson

I continually invest in my education because I believe that the more knowledge and experience you have, the better you are able to support your clients.

“I can’t thank Pete enough, I highly recommend his service.” - Laura Chester

Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my two rollercoaster‑obsessed children and our joyful, excitable cockapoo. I enjoy staying active through running, cycling, swimming, and cold water swimming, and I have a long-standing interest in endurance sports. From both personal and professional experience, I understand the importance of structure, function, and balance in injury prevention, performance, and long‑term wellbeing.

“Peter has a welcoming, warm and no‑judgement space to practice in, which has made coming to Peter for treatment a joy and relief.” - Nicola Macaulay
